As an IBM Senior Consultant, I provided thought-leadership and delivery expertise in a risk, quality and project management capacity across private and public sector environments. My industry base included Telecommunications (Telstra, Optus), Financial Services (ANZ, American Express), Public Sector, Utilities and Not-for-Profit.

Responsibilities & Contributions

  • Plan, manage and govern projects and programs across full-lifecycle implementations. Construct, implement and review SOWs, project and quality plans, including budgets/earned-value, resource plans, business processes/requirements, and system, SIT, UAT and PVT test plans.

  • Perform business development, pre-sales, capacity planning, feasibility and cost-benefit analysis. Estimation and benefits-driven reporting for large, complex transformation programs.

  • Provide expert consultancy and thought-leadership, particularly for ‘troubled’ engagements.

Achievements

  • Constructed a $10M Program Execution Strategy for a core systems replacement, and contributed to various SOW engagements in legacy upgrades and core system replacements from $200M to $1.5B using web service, API and other digital technologies.

  • Selected as a Cape York Partnership Program Secondee to construct and revise HR policies, and improve organisational processes that support remote indigenous communities in Cape York.

  • Constructed the complex SI Testing Strategy adopted by IBM Global as the standard for Asia Pacific.

  • IBM Top Talent & Leadership Program 2007-09 and mentor for junior staff.

  • Managed local and global delivery teams (20+) in cross-functional, matrix environments.
